EEE workshop, 15 September: CALL FOR PAPERS
The organisers are inviting submissions of one-page abstracts for presentations at the September 15 joint Scottish Institute for Research in Economics-Economic and Social Research Council Environmental and Energy Economics Workshop hosted by the University of Strathclyde.
The deadline for submissions is July 1.
Up to 5 papers will be selected for presentation at each workshop with a goal of providing a discussion for a wide audience of interested parties in the field of environmental and energy economics. Papers on any topic in the fields of environmental and energy economics are encouraged to apply. Presenters of accepted papers will be expected to give a 25 minute presentation and discuss questions for 10 minutes. The workshop will be a half-day meeting of the community of environmental and energy economists in Scotland to share knowledge, present research and discuss relevant issues.
Non-technical papers are also invited for a special issue of the University of Strathclyde's Fraser Economic Commentary. The special issue will be titled Energy and Environmental Issues Facing the Scottish Economy and will be published in September. If you intend to submit a short paper, either focussing on Scottish-focussed research or on wider research that offers insights for the case of Scotland, please send a title and abstract by July 1, with full papers to follow by August 23.
Papers for the special issue of the Fraser Economic Commentary do not have to be presented at the SIRE workshop (i.e. this is an open invitation aimed at representing/publicising the wider range of energy and environmental research being carried out across the SIRE community).
Papers will be chosen by Mark Schaffer, Peter McGregor, Karen Turner and Ian Lange. Presenters will be notified by July 15 for the September 15th Workshop and the special issue of the Fraser Economic Commentary.
Please send your submissions to Ian Lange or Karen Turner.
