Dennis Petrie is has been appointed as SIRE lecturer in health economics at the University of Dundee. He graduated with a dual degree, BEcon(Hons) majoring in econometrics and a BSc majoring in mathematics and chemistry from the University of Queensland (UQ), Australia. His PhD (UQ) is on the economics of alcohol in rural Australia. He has also written on topics including the measurement of health inequalities, the production and efficiency of healthcare systems and been involved in a number of economic evaluations of healthcare interventions. His teaching experience (UQ) consists of a number of courses dealing with applied econometrics and health economics.
