Gonzalo Forgues-Puccio obtained his MSc and PhD from the University of Manchester and his BSc (Lic) from Universidad Católica Boliviana, La Paz. Before embarking on his postgraduate studies he spent four years working at the Central Bank of Bolivia. Currently, Gonzalo is currently a Temporary Lecturer in Macroeconomics at the University of Manchester.
Gonzalo’s research interests lie in the areas of economic growth and development; corruption and governance; and financial markets and institutions. At the moment, his research activity is concentrated on the theoretical analysis of the links between public sector corruption and growth; the impact of corruption on public policy; and the role of foreign aid in helping countries escape from poverty traps. |
