Marco was educated at the University of Milan-Bicocca (BA) and the University of Edinburgh, where he obtained both his MSc and his Ph.D. He joined the University of St Andrews in September 2007, starting a Lectureship in Economics funded by the Scottish Institute for Research in Economics (SIRE). Marco’s research is in game theory, behavioural and experimental economics. He is particularly interested in the study of ethics and social norms and how conventions and moral behaviour emerge in an evolutionary framework.
