Miguel Costa-Gomes obtained his PhD in Economics from the University of California at San Diego (UCSD). He also received his MA in Economics from UCSD.
Since being awarded his doctorate he has held positions at the California Institute of Technology, Harvard Business School (Harvard University), IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, the ISER - Osaka University, and the University of York.
His research interests lie in game theory as part of empirical economics. Mostly, he uses experimental methods to study strategic thinking in non-cooperative games.
