Tom Love has a background in health services research and management. After studying classics and philosophy at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand, he worked as an analyst and manager in government and private sector health organisations before completing a Masters of Public Health and joining the general practice department of the Wellington School of Medicine as a lecturer. Since moving to Scotland in 2003 he has completed the MSc from the Scottish Graduate Programme in Economics while working on a PhD thesis in the Division of Community Health Sciences at Ninewells Medical School in Dundee. His research interests are in medical practice variation and aspects of demand for medical services.
Tom has now left the University of Dundee to New Zealand to a part-academic, part-consulting post in Wellington. |
