Research Programmes

SIRE pools key areas of strength within the Scottish Economics research base in three thematic programmes:

The development of SIRE strengthens the existing research base in these programmes with a substantial number of new appointments (18 senior professional posts and 18 more junior posts).

Future activities will be primarily organised around the three SIRE thematic programmes along with activities, based at the SIRE Centre in the University of Edinburgh, which exploit potentially exciting cross-programme linkages.
