BY RAIL

All trains arrive at Waverley Station in the centre of the city, although some trains also stop at Haymarket, which is a smaller station in the west end. Walking from Waverley to the conference venue in Old College takes approximately 15 minutes. Taxis are available outside both train stations.

FROM EDINBURGH AIRPORT

Edinburgh International Airport is 12km (8 miles) west of the city centre and is easy to reach thanks to reliable bus & taxi services.

A website with Edinburgh Airport information lists information on bus and travel into the City of Edinburgh.

You will find official airport taxis at the taxi rank outside the terminal building (follow the signs within the airport). It costs between £20-£25 to get a taxi from the airport to the city centre, and the journey takes around 30-45 minutes (during the rush hour, the journey may take longer).

There is also a frequent Edinburgh Airport - city centre bus service. Check out the shuttle bus website, run by Lothian Buses.

An open adult return ticket costs £7.00. This is a quick service (around 45 minutes) which takes you into Waverley station.
